Description
A double mash, all malt, bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout. No sugar is added to boost the gravity. Two mashes are conducted; the first with a maxed out load of grain and the wort is separated. This wort is transferred back to the mash tun and the next mash is performed with the second maxed out load of malt. It’s a long, arduous process with over 1000lbs of grain for a 7bbl batch, but it’s worth it. Aged in oak for over two years, this is a BIG stout with big notes of vanilla and bourbon. This is special.
